Overall Rating: Good

Kumail Nanjiani, from HBO’s Silicon Valley, delivers a companion piece to the long-running FOX program The X-Files. Each episode, Kumail and a guest review one or two episodes in consecutive order. Guests include plenty of celebrities as well as some insiders from the original run of The X-Files.

The Good

If you haven’t seen The X-Files or you’re looking to watch the series again, this is a great companion piece to compliment the show. Kumail and company go into great depth with each episode, going so far as to dig into X-Files chat archives from the early days of the internet.

The Bad

The X-Files Files isn’t the most polished podcast. It’s a bit rough around the edges. This may hold some back from getting into the show.

The Ugly

Some episodes are skipped on The X-Files Files. For the completest, this could be disappointing. The good news is that the episodes that are skipped are poorer episodes.
